I want to start out with saying that I am NOT the Associated Press (AP) reporter/writer by the same name. Please project your hostility elsewhere, thank you!
My name is David Bauder, and on January 7th, 2010, I set out to provide both the public and myself a full 365 days of photos. I am doing this for multiple reasons.
First reason is to really improve and re-spark my creative photography side of me that has been dormant for about two years now. I have been shooting very regularly since high school(where I learned 35mm B&W photography). Since then I’ve graduated to the realm of DSLR’s around 2004 and have loved it ever since. I’ve stuck with Canon over the years just because I started with them and I love all the Canon cameras I have used.
Second reason is I’d really like to develop a following of some sort and want to inspire others to take on ‘good’ photography as a hobby. I have never really done it professionally because I’m just more comfortable doing it as a hobby. Maybe the future will bring a “full time” photography job with it, but until then, I am happy with it as a hobby. I hope others can be inspired by my photographs and maybe I can even help others with techniques and tutorials.
I hope you can revisit this site to check out what I do submit from here on out. Feel free to look in the archives as far back as you wish to see my past submissions. I am keeping all the submissions here and on flickr for archiving.
If you have a twitter account and use it, I’d recommend you follow me to get updates easier complete with links to every submission.
Enjoy!
